Today I am so excited to share my Memorial Day Sale Haul: Part 1. This year I truly took advantage on all the sales on Memorial Day. Honestly within the past year, I haven’t purchased much makeup. I’m sure this is evident since I have not been posting any makeup hauls. When you are working from home during a global pandemic, you don’t wear makeup much right?
Well with 2021 back in the office now, I needed to restock some of my favorites and also picking up some of the new items I’ve missed in the past year. As Beauty is in my Blog name, I’m sure even if you are newer reader you would totally get that I love makeup. So interested in what I picked up in this Memorial Day sale? Well keep reading for part 1 of my haul!
Too Faced Cosmetics
I purchased all Too Faced products shown in my Memorial Day Sale: Part 1 from Too Faced’s website. They were having a huge sale, that saved $37.20 on my purchase.
Born this way The Neutral Nudes Eye Shadow Palette $48.00
This neutral palette is simply gorgeous, I had to pick it up during this sale! I am very impressed with the pigmentation of all shades, even the lightest shades showed up on swatches on my pale skin. The palette contains 16 highly pigmented shades with a mix of creamy matte, shimmer and glitter finishes. Even the more glittery shades swatched beautifully. The thin design of the palette is great for storage and travel. The mirror is a great size and perfect for traveling. Overall my initial review is A+.
Peach Perfect Setting Powder in Translucent $34.00
This setting powder is one of my favorite setting powder. I’ve used it since it was first launched in the Peach collection. I have super oily skin, and there is something about this powder that helps hold my makeup together. With Summer here in the South and temperatures well into the 90s, I need all the help I can get to keep my makeup from melting off. This powder gives the skin a very matte look upon application, but within a few hours it works with the natural oils in my skin to a more natural finish. Since this is a repurchase I already knew I would love it. I highly recommend this product.
Born this way Turn up the Light Highlight Palette in Medium $42.00
The Soft Focus shade is very smooth and probably my favorite in the palette. As you can tell from the swatches, Glow is pretty and is a nice highlight shade. Dazzle is a glittery mess that didn’t swatch well. I recommend spritzing your brush with MAC Fix+ to try to get more color payoff. There is nothing special about the shades and I believe there are far better products on the market. If you already own shades like these, I would skip it. In my opinion, it’s not impressive enough to justify the price.
What did you pick up? I hope you all had luck on the sales and enjoyed my Memorial Day Sale Haul: part 1! Where did you shop?
