Happy Friday! Well you made it, and the big question is are you ready for the weekend? Today I am sharing my Weekend Wishes, which basically is a list of things I am truly hoping to accomplish this weekend. Weekends always seem like a blur so having a “punch list” to work from helps me stay on task. Now on to my Weekend Wishes: Home Renovation edition, I can’t wait to tell you my big weekend plans!

Friday
Work has been grueling this week. Scratch that life has been grueling. I am in the process of remodeling my bedroom in record time, thanks to the help from my brother and dad. I’ve needed to do a refresh for some time, but gut job was not planned. I sure didn’t plan taking walls down to expose studs, redoing wiring, and adding all new insulation. I figured only new paint, new painted furniture, and new flooring. However, this 100 yr old farmhouse reno never goes like plan. As the work week comes to a close, “it’s GO TIME.” I am having to deep clean the walls, flooring and ceiling to remove all sheetrock dust before I can even paint. I chose to paint all the walls Light French Gray from Sherwin Williams and the ceiling and trim is being painted with Polar Bear by Behr. These colors look spectacular together. All of my furniture is also painted with the Polar Bear by Behr paint. Oh and not to forget taping windows so that they don’t get paint on them. My goal for Friday night is to have it cleaned and everything painted.
Saturday
Saturday is going to be crazy. I have so much I am trying to pack in it’s going to be wild. If things go as planned Friday, then I will be ready to lay new flooring on Saturday. This is going to be grueling work and I imagine is going to take roughly 4-5 hours. Then I need to get trim installed that I pre-painted earlier this week. I also need to find time to add a matte sealant to the tops of my furniture. If I can get the flooring and trim installed Saturday, then Saturday is move in day. After sleeping on a blow up mattress all week in the living room, I am so over it. Hopefully enough can get done so that I can watch a hallmark movie before passing out.
Sunday
If all goes as planned then on Sunday I will be moving all my painted furniture back in. I have a love for old furniture, and these pieces are super heavy. My goal is to get things moved in, my TV mounted to this awesome mount and finish up painting trim to go in the closet and the doors. If I can do this and some Laundry I will feel so accomplished. I am so ready to sleep in my own bed, but boy I am totally dreading moving it back in the room. All my old furniture is built to last which means massive and heavy.
This bedroom reno if goes on schedule this weekend happened within 7 days, which is totally crazy. That’s what I call team work. Each day I’ve left work, went home and accomplished tasks that led up to this weekend. No doubt going from Studs to finished room in 7 days is quite the task. In the end it’s going to be so worth it. I can’t wait to move on the the decorating, which let’s face it that’s the best part!
What plans do you have this weekend? Have you taken on any reno projects recently? What are your weekend wishes? Do they involve Home Renovation?
