Weekend Update!

So let’s talk weekend shall we? I seriously think my body is telling me to chill out. I literally felt like road runner this weekend working on cleaning and finishing little house projects. Ever feel like the light at the end of the tunnel is getting farther away? Maybe it’s just me or just the combination of holidays, wedding and house renovations. The push I feel on Mondays is totally real, especially on a short week. Welcome to Manic Monday!

Friday|On top of everything going on it was our week to clean the church. We are in a group and each have a task. I decided to bust out my Dyson for the vacuuming as it’s wonderful for getting into tight spaces, especially where the choir sits. After we left the church I ran into town to grab dinner. Then went home and curled up watching Hallmark Christmas movies.

Saturday|Paint, Move, Screwdriver. That was the basis for how my day went no joke. I helped mom do never-ending touch up paint, moving furniture again and hanging up tons of artwork and pieces I bought from Finders Keepers. Command strips are seriously a must have! I also use screws and nails sparingly with my awesome power tools. Regardless, please use a leveler for hanging anything. It’s so annoying when pictures or artwork is not straight.

Sunday|We found out my Dad and Brother were coming home early as a surprise so we did a massive cleaning day. You will never believe how much a fine mist of powder is left behind when contractors are hanging drywall. It’s everywhere and very annoying! We wanted the house perfect for my Dad’s return. Granted he’s been gone since August and the house doesn’t look at all the same now. What a transformation! I seriously can’t get enough carrara marble! Finally, we got as much done as possible. Ending a total crazy weekend.
