Oh it’s Manic Monday for sure! Am I the only one that slings it together on Monday mornings? It never fails I am normally running out the door. Not that other mornings are like this, but there’s just something special about Mondays that increases the stressful feeling on getting things done and out the door for work.
Anyways, onto the weekend shenanigans! I fee like the weekend just fly by. I think as I reflect I feel so much accomplishment. I am helping my parents renovate their house and we are working through the last of our interior punch list. Friday night I rushed home to see the progress of the contractors. Even though they are working hard no doubt, am I the only one that things waiting on contractors to finish is like watching paint dry? Anyways, Friday night was pretty chill where I spent most of it catching up on filling out my planner for the past two weeks and this week. I like to use my planner to keep myself accountable for tasks.
Saturday was an epic move furniture and cleaning day. My mother loves old heavy furniture. I say this in the nicest way possible that old furniture is ridiculously heavy. Thank goodness for being able to and having great cleaning supplies. I am seriously obsessed with cleaning products these days. I just picked up Mrs. Myers Iowa Pine scented products, and they smell amazing. Ecloth products are also on my favorites list. I love using them on my marble & tile surfaces due to you only have to use water to sanitize. Very unique products! I always get better deals on these on Grove also!
Sundays are always hard to do things in this house. It’s church day so there’s only a small window to get things done. I spent the morning cleaning then at night I helped my mom put newly upholstered dining chair seats into the chairs. I admit I feel so handy doing this and using power tools! Then I ate a small bite and prepared for Monday. I find preparing for Monday is a must so that I know I have clean clothes and everything together. Lord only knows how much I would struggle more on Monday mornings if I didn’t do this!
