Christmas came a bit early when I decided I needed Natasha Denona‘s Star Palette. If you haven’t tried any Natasha Denona shadows then you are really missing out. Traditionally this brand has the most pigmented and unique shadows. Their glitter shades are among my favorite. When I saw the star palette has released I knew I had to get it even though it’s pricey. At close to $169 was it worth it?
This palette has a hard outer shell with high quality foam inside along with magnetic closure. The overall design is really durable and high quality. The inside is fitted with 18 new shades at 2.5g each, plastic sheet attached with shade names, and a nice mirror. I am not traditionally a fan of the sheets with shade names, but I actually find this one to be wonderful due to some of the shades are super glittery.
The Star Palette contains the new matte formula shades. The new creamy matte shades are reformulated making them easier to blend, creamy, softer, and long-wearing. You can create unlimited looks with this palette but it is designed to make it easy. Each Vertical, Horizontal and diagonal row of three shades can be used to make the most gorgeous look. This is simply Natasha’s Three-Shadow Sequence.
There are two new finishes: Creamy Matte (CM), which is supposed to an improved version of the matte formula already released, and Crystal (K), which is supposed to have a very sparkling shimmer. Each shadow name has letter that stand for the formula behind the name. Flesh, Diadem, Vega and Atik are the perfect transition shades. I do recommend using some MAC Fix+ or Too Faced Glitter Glue for the super glitter shades(Crystal K).
Overall this palette is simply wonderful. The shadows are creamy and able to blend, and even the super glittery shades are pigmented. I’ve tried this out and it really never leaves my makeup counter. It has a permanent space due to how much I use it. Based on the quality and use I get out of it, I would say this palette is worth the money. I also can attest that the packaging is amazing. I actually dropped by palette and none of the shades shattered! There was no damage at all which is a big deal when in comes to these super creamy shades.
Where you can buy it? Sephora and Beautylish. If this price is a bit of a stretch Beautylish allows you to split it up into 3 payments. These shadows break down into about $9 a shadow, which isn’t really bad if you think about it.
Regardless of price I absolutely recommend picking this one up. I’ve already made a dent into mine and I am sure you would as well. Have you tried this palette or any of the other Natasha Denona palettes? If you love Natasha Denona then you will love this one!
