Birchbox is currently the only subscription box I am still subscribed to. I get excited every time my BB email comes in indicating the box has shipped. I not so patiently await it’s arrival and try my best not to peak online. For the November box I was given the opportunity to request an item from the brand LOC, which happens to be created by one of my favorite YouTube beauty gurus, Tati Westbrook. Needless to say I was thrilled was an understatement because I truly felt if Tati put her stamp of approval on it then it would be amazing. Here’s what I received in this month’s Birchbox!
Perfume | Full-size, $65-$110
It’s an elegant vibe indeed, but totally not for me. Wait did that rhyme? Totally not intentional, but doesn’t take away from the fact that this is one scent that is way too stuffy for me. I can’t imagine paying this much for this perfume, but I did pass it along to someone that adores the smell. I digress.
Perfect Ending Leave In Conditioner | Full-size, $15
I am a sucker for anything that claims to tame the frizz. Living in the humid south, a little help in this department is needed. This product claims to detangle, fight frizz, and prevent breakage. Oh and not to forget it is colorist-approved. Does it do all of this? For my hair it seems to work pretty well, but is not a product I will be purchasing any time soon. I am just a bit hooked on other products that do the same. However, I think for the price it would be worth the money.
One & Done Shadow Stick-Impress Me | Full-size $10
Wow, this is amazing. This is literally the creamiest pigmented shadow that is super blendable. Once you blend it out, it sets and doesn’t move. I am so impressed by this product that I completely intend on purchasing more. This shadow stick truly has the best formula of any high-end shadow stick I have ever tried. I highly recommend checking this one out due the gorgeous color!
Face Gloss | Full-size, $25
Let’s be honest, what oily skinned woman needs something called Face Gloss. I will never, ever put this on my face due to the greasy mess it makes. This may be great for someone with dry skin, but is so not for me. I digress even further.
Milky Rich Salt Scrub | Full-size, $18.95
I depend on Salt Scrubs to manage the impact fall and winter make on my skin. I am a fan of sea salt scrubs, but often find they leave my shower an oily mess. However, this one impressed me. I love how easily it buffs away dead skin and hydrates it. This time of year from my neck down I need all the hydration I can get. I am curious as to if this line makes face scrubs, because that would be amazing!
Overall, this month’s box was impressive. There were hit and miss, but the ones that were hits were big hits in my opinion. Have you tried any of these? What did you get in your Birchbox this month? If you are not subscribed to Birchbox, but would like to just click here (this will get you $5 off your first box)!
