Let’s face it! When anything has Jaclyn Hill’s name attached it is pretty much an item that will sell out fast due to her massive fan base. Additionally, I have found that she doesn’t recommend products or put her name on them unless they are pretty much amazing. This fall she teamed up with Becca Cosmetics in creating Champagne Pop. I was elated when I heard that she was also working on a highlighting palette with Becca that was released in time for the holidays that contains her favorite highlighters from Becca.
The Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Palette in Champagne Glow contains 3 shades: Pearl (new), Champagne Pop (Jaclyn Hill ‘s & Limited Edition), and Blushed Copper (Limited Edition).
Each of these is of the same quality as the other Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed powders from Becca’s product line. This palette is designed to work with most skin tones. Those that are super fair to medium skin tone will love Pearl and Champagne pop, while darker skin tones will be able to use at least Blushed copper as a highlight.
Pearl is a true Pearlescent shade that provides the most beautiful glow. Champagne pop is amazing, and is the perfect golden/ champagne highlight. Blushed copper is a much deeper copper shade. I am able to wear both Pearl and Champagne pop with my medium skin tone, but I don’t even think I will ever be able to use Blushed copper as a stand alone highlight. However, I think this will be a perfect blush topper and eye shadow. It is so warm and glittery that it is really pretty but just not practical on my medium skin tone as a highlighter.
How you can use Blushed Copper as a highlight is to mix it with the other shades to lighten it. Mixing Blushed Copper and Pearl makes a beautiful Pink-toned highlight depending on how much you mix in. When you mix Blushed Copper and Champagne Pop you will see magic appear in the form of a gorgeous golden shade! Doing this enables you to use every shade in the palette.
In the end I must say I truly love this palette. I love not only the shimmering skin perfectors, but also the packaging on this is great! Regardless what shades you mix together with this palette you are set to glow like never before! This product retails for $34 at Sephora, as of the last time I looked it was till available but I recommend you get it sooner rather than later if you want it.
