Happy Monday! Following up on my trend of favorites, today I wanted to share my favorite foundations. I have included mostly high-end foundation but also one from the drugstore. Trust me I didn’t just throw in the drugstore, I truly do love it. I tend to mix foundations to customize the coverage and color. Foundations are hard to pick due to they work differently with different skin types. I personally have oily skin so I go for “bullet proof” foundation. Looking for a new foundation? Check these out!
Makeup For Ever Mat Velvet + Mattifying Foundation • $38 •
This foundation is a staple product in my collection. Every time I run of I go online and order another one. I find it is great at helping those with oily skin. I admit that shaking it up before application is a must due to the mattifying formula in it. Once you shake it you will be go to go. Even though this says matte velvet that pretty much just means this will leave you with natural to satin finish looking skin. Those that want to look matte but not super matte, this one would be a great choice.
Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup • $38 •
Full coverage for sure! This one leaves the skin looking like perfection and it pretty much “bullet proof.” This is especially true for those with normal skin type, however I still get amazing results from this one with my super oily skin. If you have skin issues that you want covered without looking like a “cake face” then check out this one.
Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Transforming Foundation • $10 •
I did get to try this from being a member of Influenster. I typically don’t find many foundations from the drugstore that I like and that work with my skin. The deal with this is that I have to mix it with one of my more long lasting/mattifying foundations to get ti to last on my skin. Why do I still like it? They claim it will improve your skin and I can say that I can tell a difference in my skin since I started using this foundation. My skin overall looking more balanced. If you have dry-normal skin you will probably love this one!
M·A·C ‘Studio Fix’ Fluid Foundation SPF 15 • $27 •
An oldie but a goodie for sure! This foundation has the best formula in my opinion. It has buildable coverage and lasts a good amount of time on my skin. I admit that MAC foundations can be hard to match, but if you can get it to match then you will love this foundation. I would say that normal to oily skin tones would love this foundation. Some say MAC foundations break them out but I don’t find that this one does this to my oily/sensitive skin.
