Face primers are typically hard to pick when shopping, because you never know what is going to work with your skin type. For instance, I typically look for primers that are mattifying or that will hide large pores. This is the story of my life, as I battle having oily skin daily. I just hope that having such oily skin will keep wrinkles at bay when I am older. Today I wanted to share with you a list of my current favorite face primes. These are all high-end primers, but are the ones that work with my skin.

Make Up For Ever • Step 1 Skin Equalizer • Make Up For Ever
This primer is a bit different than the others as I see it is great at smoothing out imperfections in the skin. I use the mattifying one to not only combat oil but also to extend the life of my makeup. This primer in particular has many options to choose from to best fit what you need. For instance, they have different colors to help neutralize skin issue that you may possess.
Smashbox ‘Photo Finish’ Foundation Primer • Smashbox
This primer is an oldie but a goodie. This primer does not specifically help my oily issues the most, but what it does is make my foundation go on smoother. I love using this primer in the fall and winter when my skin faces more texture than the rest of the year. If you are looking for a primer to smooth out your skin, this I highly suggest you try this one.
HOURGLASS Cosmetics Veil Mineral Primer • Hourglass
Expensive, but good! Ever wondered what liquid gold would feel like? Well with this primer you may feel that this is it considering how much this one will set you back in the bank. What I recommend doing before you buy is try it in the store or get a sample. They sell a small version of this for around $18, but warning this may suck you in because it is just that good. This one feels so luxurious when applying to the face. I love how it makes my skin look, but I only use this in the winter. It does nothing to combat my oily skin, which is why I typically use it when my skin is the least oily of the year.
BECCA Ever Matte Poreless Priming Perfector • Becca
Out of all of the above this is my favorite! I recently discovered this one and fell in love. I find it truly helps create a barrier to keep oil from making my makeup slide of my face. This one is worth a try for all those that suffer dealing with oily skin.
Have you tried any of these? Which primers do you love? Happy Thursday!
