A Separate Heaven {Book 2} Review!

I WAS PROVIDED A COPY OF A SEPARATE HEAVEN Book 2 BY THE AUTHOR, ALEX DISANTI, BUT ALL THOUGHTS EXPRESSED ARE 100% MY OWN.

How was the weekend? Well I spent the weekend floating around the pool reading and sipping wine. I also spent Father’s Day with my amazing father and it looks like our celebration went off without a hitch! Today I want to share with you another book review of a series that I have fallen in love with. A Separate Heaven Book 2 by Alex Dasanti yet again pulled me in for more drama from the Hamilton and Gianelli Families!

Here’s a bit about Book 2 of A Separate Heaven:

The intriguing saga of the Hamilton and Gianelli families continues as book two takes them back to Salerno and Paige proves herself to be the asset the Gianellis have hoped she would be. Dominic’s aunt, Sophia, sees the couple as her last and only tie to a glorious but tragic past in Italy. With the nephew’s marriage to Paige, Sophia’s unspoken dream is rekindled, for in her mind, she now sees a chance for Dominic to rebuild what once was.

A mysterious incident abroad has far reaching implications stateside and creates havoc for members of both families. Information revealed in court has an impact on Paige because closely held secrets of the Hamilton family are revealed.

My Thoughts:

Book 1 left me seriously hanging wondering if Dominic and Paige were going to last. This book builds suspense as this couple battles the unimaginable. The matter of contention surrounding Dominic facing murder charges causes family secrets to be exposed that will anger you beyond belief. It seems the prosecution in this case set out to tear them down piece by piece.

This one in particular emits emotions beyond the print on the page. It is as if the characters just come of the page. I know I felt for the characters in this story based on the horrible situations that Paige in particular has gone through with her family. Paige suffers insurmountable loss but also life. Keeping with Book 1 this one gets a bit “Fifty Shades” as well, but doesn’t take away from the main story line of overcoming it all with love.

This book continued my love for this series! There is just the right combo of Love and action to keep you on your toes.
