Wine, wine, and more wine! Yes I happen to love some wine, not only is one of only two types of alcohol that you can buy in my town, but I became a wine-o back in college. You see one of my best friends/sisters use to come over to my apartment on Thursday nights to watch Grey’s Anatomy and Vampire Diaries, which during we had dinner and drank wine. This was super easy to do for us since we lived only a few doors down and could walk to each-other’s place. These nights are some I cherish and partly because during this time I was exposed to a wide variety of wines. When Deutsch Family was so sweet to send me a few bottles of wine to try I couldn’t resist.
Let’s start with the reds! First up is Eppa Suprafruta Red Sangria. This amazing wine is crafted in Mendocino, California with a blend of real, organic SuperFruit juices and premium varietal wine made from organically-grown grapes. This one is definitely those that try to be more organic should try. I had never heard of this brand but this wine quickly became my favorite wine of all time. This wine is 8.5% alcohol and contains Antioxidant-Rich SuperFruit Juices in: Pomegranate, Blueberry, Blood Orange, and Acai Juices. Sounds tasty right? It is actually quite amazing! Here’s a bit more about Eppa Taste Profiles.
Eppa Red: Sweet citrus scents of orange, lemon and lime meld with aromas of rich red wine. Dark berry flavors mingle with pomegranate, orange, and soft red wine notes for a smooth style. Eppa White: Peach and mango aromas burst from the glass. On first sip, clean, fresh flavors of lemon, lime and orange delight followerd by rich tropical flavors of mango, pineapple and peach.
Now perhaps you can see why this Sangria is my favorite of all the wines I have ever tasted! This Sangria is truly, “more than wine!”
Moving onto another fantastic red is Josh Cellars Red Wine. This wine also is made in California and is 13.9% alcohol. This wine is also oak aged with new French oak for 12 months. This wine in particular is unique due to blend of 45% Merlot, 45% Zinfandel, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Sirah. Together these blend to make an truly elegant wine.
Here’s a bit more about Josh Cellars Legacy Red Wine:
Aromatic blue fruits and brown spices delight the nose, yielding fresh plum and blackberry fruit. The wine is juicy with these flavors above and is layered with smoky roasted almonds and hazelnuts, finishing long with fine and elegant tannins.
This wine also peaked my interest and taste buds due to the complex flavor that satisfy my wine taste buds. I love the sophistication of this wine and the crafting of this wine leaves it a cut above others. I truly found this wine to be tasty and will keep this on my list of wines that are must-haves in my house.
Now onto a brand I am very familiar with. I am sure you all have heard of Yellow Tail before. Yellow Tail’s Sangria Blanco is truly one of my favorites from this brand. I am personally a fan of sweet wines, which is why all of the wines I have mentioned thus far, including this one, are some of my favorites. This wine comes from South Eastern Australia, contains 10% alcohol and has the aroma of wild peaches and tropical mangos.
Here’s a bit more about Sangria Blanco:
Inspired by the traditional drink of Spain, Yellow Tail Sangria Blanco combines premium white wine with a splash of sweet citrus and peach. Finishing clean, light and delightfully refreshing, Yellow Tail Sangria Blanco is the perfect wine to enjoy on its own, over ice or with fresh fruit.
I will mention that I did prefer to drink the Eppa & Yellow Tail chilled or over ice. I found this just made these both so smooth to drink. These are all amazing exhibits of wine. I know that once I run out of these I will be on the hunt to find them. Make sure next time you are on the hunt for some amazing wine that you check out: Eppa, Josh Cellars, and Yellow Tail. Each of these are supreme and have satisfied this wine-o for sure! Now that I have tried these I look forward to trying more from these brands. Have you tried any of these before?
