You know that feeling when you reach for something at a store the same time as someone else? Isn’t this the perfect icebreaker! In college, I was shopping at our local grocery store in our dorm building and reached for a bag of chocolate when I saw another freshmen doing the same. This opened up a conversation about how stressful classes were and it led to a coffee date. As you can see from the photo above our coffee date went great and lead to many other shenanigans including a flour war. Now this is not the kind of date that you are probably thinking of, but rather it was when I first found who would become one of my sorority sisters. We made that instant connections and I knew it from the start that we would be friends, little did I know that we would even end up as sorority sisters. Ever since then every time I reach for chocolate I am brought back to how I met my best friend and sorority sister. It’s truly the unexpected moments in life that stand out the most. I can fully say that I owe one of my dearest friendships to my love of chocolate.
