It truly seems like yesterday that I was moving out and moving into my own apartment at college. As exciting as it was I was truly not prepared for the things I would need to live on my own. The list was rather large, but I found that there were some things that I totally forgot to include. I do want to mention to those going through this that sometimes can be bought along and along, rather than all up front. Outside of the norm of basic survival, there are many items related to technology that are rather important.
Sometimes buying a graduate gifts is difficult. I know that some want to get graduates more than money and would rather get them something in particular. As one that has been on both sides of this I can say that graduates truly appreciate it all, however I admit that getting something like a laptop or iTunes gift card was even better. For all graduate gifts I recommend checking out the gift center for all your gift buying needs.

I would have to say that the one thing that I would want if I was in this position would be a Keurig Elite Single-Serve Brewer.
This is absolute #1 gift that I recommend. I know that coffee was and still is a necessity from me. Having 8am classes was rough and coffee was a necessity to keep going every day. Also the fact that this brewer only makes 1 cup at a time is a plus and I feel so much better knowing that I can grab a cup of coffee, hot chocolate, tea or cider and don’t have to worry about wasting an entire pot.
I also find that you can have several cups of coffee in a row and have a different flavor every time, which makes thing interesting. I know that my first night in my apartment the endless hours of unpacking and organization had me exhausted. I highly suggest while moving out on your own you keep a handy cup of coffee. Having a Keurig close by can really come in handy. The great thing is that even if you are moving into a dorm room most dorms allow you to have Keurigs. My only warning is that you may have others stopping by regularly for a cup of the best coffee thanks to your Keurig. I fully believe that every grad that is getting ready for college or even someone that is just moving out needs a Keurig to add to their set up.
Also if you are looking for gifts under $50 also check out the gift center for ideas. Something I found to be under $50 that is a must is an Shark Lightweight Iron. A iron is something that you can never go without. I know that not having mom to iron my clothes anymore was a real shocker and left me needing to iron my own clothes.
Some other top gifts under $50 include:
