Are you wanting to start a blog or are you a new blogger? Well you may want to know a few tricks to blogging. You see blogging is a bit of a mathematical equation when talking about how to succeed as a blogger. I find that there are mistake that I made in the beginning that I see bloggers doing daily that cause them to not be as successful in my opinion. Blogging is not a simply as I once thought it to be, however, with the right mindset and plan of attach I fully believe that anyone can succeed in blogging.
1. Find a creative blog name
2. Don’t choose a long blog URL
3. Don’t worry about the numbers so much
4. Have a sleek & easy to read blog design
5. Write easy to read and grammatically correct posts
6. Blog Frequently! At least 2-3 times a week
7. Write blog posts that are too wordy
8. Make sure you are not a “No-Reply Blogger”
9. Respond to comments on your blog
10. Be Social. Comment on other blogs.
Having a unique name will help people remember you! I mean just think of some that are your favorites and don’t their names just roll off your tongue? Often those that use .blogspot or a long URL find that they do not get as many hits on their site. One reason behind this may be that your URL is too long for people to type or remember. So I suggest picking a short and easy URL address that people can remember. Focusing on number will just make you nuts, trust me. So just focus on getting readers and experiencing the blog process.
Sleek blog designs are a must. If you blog design causes your content to be hard to read then it is not likely that readers will stick around. I know that I saw that my blog truly grew once I had a sleek looking design. I know that a mistake I made was having a font color that was too hard to see, so make sure you stick to something darker. Additionally to your blog looking great, your posts also need to be frequent, and easy to read. Having posts that are super wordy is something I tend to struggle with but is something you should avoid.
The 3 final tips sort of are related and deal with being social. You see having the status as a no-reply blogger will keep other bloggers from responding to your comments on their blog. I find that every now and again my profile switches to this, so just remember just because you have already fixed this does not mean this issue will not reoccur. Also respond to comments on your blog so that readers will continue to comment, and finally comment on other blogs. Leaving great comments may even get that blogger to check out your blog.
That wraps up these tips! I hope you find these helpful & I hope you have a great day!
