Blog Life.
Two words that I never thought I would say during my life.
Blog life where it may be way different than your real life, they do share similarities. There are cliques, mean girls, sweethearts, and the others that you can possibly drum up. Thinking of my blog life made me wonder, how different is my blog life from my “real life?”
I mean beyond the computer screen I feel that my life is somewhat different and somewhat the same. We all pick and choose what we share about our lives on our blogs. I mean is it not true that a blog is just a documentation of our lives?
I will admit that since I started this blog it seems that it has immersed within my normal life, but that doesn’t take away or change my life in general…or does it? Looking at how much time I spend blogging, maintenance of this blog, linkups and other basic “background work” it really made me think . I mean hours upon hours a week I spend devoted to this blog, what would my life be like if that time was spent doing something different? Well I can imagine that it would in fact be much different. Though I truly feel that I could get more done in my personal life I do not regret starting this blog or being on this blogging adventure.
I find that in blogging you meet the best and worst of people. You may feel that there are cliques and you are on the outside looking in and well that may not be far from the truth. I think though when you really think about your “blog life” in comparison you will find that you also have blog friends that you have in your own life that qualifies as a clique. Is this a bad thing? Well I don’t think it is to be honest, as long as you are not the “mean girls” clique that is rude to others and those that don’t accept outsiders.
It seems that much of our time we focus on the negatives of blogging, whether it be drama or sites that are filled with the worst of the worst. I mean anyone can write something nasty about you online. The key is to not care. I know that is something that is harder to do than say, but the truth is that those people that are spewing the negativity are people that you do not consider your friends and therefore you should seriously not care about anything they have to say.
With that said I think this is all something that we all face in our lives that is included in all facets of our lives. I mean we all go through the best and worst of blogging and to be honest it is not much different that the challenges that we face in our lives. I know in the beginning of the thought behind this post I truly thought perhaps my life was way different, but after examining this further I found that the two are actually quite similar.
What are your thoughts? What challenges do you face in your blog life?
