Hello Lovelies!
Wow two post in one day, crazy right? Well I just had to get some things off my chest per say. To start I want to mention that I am not being paid for this post, these are just my opinions on this topic. So by now as August is winding down I am sure you are all contemplating staying with Passionfruit or changing to a different service. I personally have been a fan of Passionfruit for a long time now, that is until recently. Since Passionfruit changed their policy about a month ago, I have been contemplating finding another company. Basically I felt that I had only 4 choices:
Over the month of August tried to come up with different reason why to switch or why to stick with Passionfruit. For bloggers that make a substantial amount of money from ads, I can see that PF may be the best option for them. However, what about the little guys? I mean I know that I personally do not make enough money from ads to pay the monthly fee nor the $50. I will say that if you follow me on twitter you could tell I was not happy with Passionfruit. I completely understand that they have the right to change their policies, but I too have the right to look elsewhere.
So the journey began pretty quickly after this announcement. For me it was a scary process, because I had all of these paid sponsors that I did not want to disappoint. I knew that I would have to feel comfortable moving, because I want to give great service to my sponsors. Also, I personally can not see myself managing my own ads at the moment so having a company to do so was important to me. I looked for a company that did not have huge fees and that was simple to navigate and found Adproval. At this point a few of my blog bffs had switched over and highly recommended Adproval. My ad sales are up and down and I will admit that this did play a large player in making my decision. However, what really pushed me to switch to Adproval was how willing Matthew from Adproval was to help me and answer all of my questions.
So I decided to take a leap of faith and switch over. I felt at this point I had nothing to loose, and if I did not like Adproval then I could just switch back no problem. Well I must say that I truly love the simplicity of Adproval. It is very user friendly and you can customize the color scheme of the ads! I mean come on how cool is that!
The switch was not bad, the only lengthy part (5mins) was signing up for an Amazon Business account. I had a few hiccups due to my own human error, but Matthew was their to help me. Most of you probably want to know what the big difference is between the two? Well that is pretty simple. Basically Adproval charges per ad, as Passionfruit use to charge. In addition, the main difference I found when it comes to ads is that Adproval does not re-size ads to fit the space. This is truly not a big deal, all you need to do to correct this is to upload an image that is the same size as the ad space. I personally prefer this, because you do not have to worry about your ads being distorted due to stretching!
If you are worried about the difficulty of switching..don’t be! I know that I was able to change all of my ads over on my own. Matthew did offer to help me, but I thought I needed to handle this on my own to get acquainted with Adproval. Granted I am not done tweaking it, but this process 100% do-able for anyone. I am by no means a smart one when it comes to new things, but I must say that this process was not painful at all.
Now if you are one that truly struggles with this, Matthew from Adproval will help you and answer any questions you may have. In the end, if I find that I am not jiving with this company, then I will move on and report back. I must say that so far I am LOVING the switch. I have sold 4 ads in under 12 hours, is this a coincidence?
I did find another blogger that had a great ad set-up guide. If you are interested in this just click here!
I will soon be interviewing Matthew from Adproval. In this interview, I will be asking Matthew all of your questions and he will respond to them in a post here on my blog. Here is your chance ladies! If you have a questions about Adproval then ask them! Just leave your comments down below!!!
It seems that many other bloggers are switching to Adproval, specifically ones that influenced me to give Adproval a try are: Rachel, Kristin, & Kelli. So thank you to all of you, because I feel truly great about my decision!
