Great eyeliners are really hard to find. Often you can search for ever and only fine one that really impresses you. Well today I am bring you a list of liners to try for those that have a hard time getting their liners to stay. I personally have high standards when it comes to liners. The ones mentioned below stack up again anything on the market and one is even found at the drugstore! Looking for a new liner? Check out my favorites below!
Five Fearless Years Limited Edition Tattoo Liner •
Liquid Liner. I use to call liquid liner my HG(holy Grail) and of course it was from Hard Candy and was the kind you paint on. This was back in college and I was quite known for my precise eyeliner. It was not the easiest things to work with, but it did create pretty looks. Ergo when I discovered the highly hyped Kat Von D Tattoo Liner, I was quite taken back but how pigmented and amazing it performed. I admit I have been on a gel liner kick for years now and put the liquid liners behind me. However, due to having oily eyelids, what I love to do is pair it with a gel liner. Of course you can use it alone, but what I do is use the gel liner(mentioned next) on the 2/3 part of my lid, then on the inner part I use this liquid liner. It does not budge and this has been my main method of applying eyeliner for a while. It also is super easy to use when making winged liner.
Bobbi Brown Gel Liner •
This product to be honest has mixed reviews, but I love it. I think often when products are hyped up it leave you disappointed thinking this product will be amazing. I say this wanting to be straight-forward with you. All cautions aside this liner is amazing. I used MAC’s gel liner and it was my “ride or die” for over a year. I used it on myself and on clients. However, it is not as pigmented as I wanted it to be and had to be layers, which posed a problem with clients. When I am working on a client most of the time they are super sensitive with liner being put on. What I line to do is to apply their liner as quick as possible to decrease the amount of discomfort. I have tried it all and still say this one is amazing. I love that if you make a mistake you can easily clean it up before it sets. Until I find something super amazing that beats this one, Bobbi Brown’s gel liner will have my vote.
Tres Jolie Gel Pencil Liner – Pitch Black •
I admit normally products don’t get on my HG list (holy grail list) super quick. However, after day one of testing this product I knew that it went to the top of my HG list. I tend to battle with having super watery eyes which pretty much takes off liner in my waterline in about 3 hours. I have literally tried it all, from drugstore brands to high-end. I can’t tell you enough how amazing this liner to use. I personally hold this one above ones I have tried from brands like: Marc Jacobs, Make up forever, MAC, NARS, and more! Yes this is a bit on the high price side for drugstore, it is super worth every penny. Try checking out ULTA and grabbing it when they have NYX sales or 20% off.

We all have our go to products. Those we just can’t live without. So today, I wanted to share my favorites with you all! I’m Helene and I blog over at Helene in Between about my life, blogging tips, traveling, and so much more. But today, let’s talk beauty.
These products are miracle workers and worth a try or two. I wrote a similar post over two years ago, and lo and behold, the products I’ve used haven’t changed. That means, these are life changers in my eyes.
The Lip Soother: Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Swivel Stick
Yes, it looks like a glue stick, but it works. I put this bad boy on my crusty, dry lips and smack them all day. It smells just like a tropical beach and makes my lips feel kissable. You can also use it on dry spots on your body. Multi purpose? Yes please. It’s large so it lasts for a long time. I have three: one for my desk, one for my purse, and one in the bathroom.
The Flawless Finisher: Elf High Definition Powder
The Hair Hider: Batiste Dry Shampoo
The Lash Lover: L’oreal Double Extend Mascara
I also just wrote about my favorite sweat proof make up (it’s still hot as heck in Nashville!).
While on vacation Renee from Getting Fit Fab is stopping by to guest post. She is sharing her summer Beauty routine! Make sure you head over to her blog to check out more of her posts! Thanks so much to Renee for helping me out! Now I will let her take it away….
Hey ! I’m Renee and I blog over at Getting Fit Fab, a Lifestyle blog with a splash of fitness and all the joys of planning a wedding. Chelsee was awesome to let me come do a guest post on her blog today, and I’m so excited. I live on Long Island NY, and we get some crazy weather up here. I know that my summer routine for hair and makeup needs to be quick and versatile. I work in an office from 9-5 but even then it’s not too nice when I go into work or when I leave. The humidity plays a gigantic part in how I’ll be getting ready for my day, even on the weekends. So, I’m here to share my beauty tips for a humid summer, or even just a lazy day that requires little to no effort.
Hair- Quick and easy is the name of this hair game!
Sock bun – I swear by this on a daily basis, it’s quick, easy and looks fabulous. I usually put some leave in conditioner in my hair and call it a day. I make a ponytail, I wrap my hair around the “donut” and make roll it all the way down to the pony tail. I fluff it up, make sure that my hair is covering the “sock bun” and I’m good to go!
“Day after” – I usually don’t wash my hair the day after I wear the sock bun, my hair is nice loose curls, and it looks really funky. I spray either beach chic or texture tease to give it extra umph and it makes the curls even crazier.
Makeup- I sweat, A LOT, so I wear very minimal makeup unless I am going to an event
Mascara- This is my favorite mascara! It’s called – Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. It’s the best kind I’ve used, it gives a nice flair to my eyelashes and it’s not clumpy.
Face- Tinted moisturizer, also helps with a 30 SPF. I work inside during the week so I usually don’t need something with too high of a SPF indoors.
That’s basically my summer routine, simple, easy and quick. I’m a low maintenance kind of girl when it comes to makeup so I don’t put too much effort in it.
Make sure that you read through the rules and full understand them. Feel free to ask any questions that you may have as well! If you are curious to see what others received last round check out this post! Here is a bit about this program.

*I am a brand ambassador for Tweezerman and was sent these products to review, all thoughts expressed are 100% my own.
Ready for #SUMMEROFSMOOTH? Having my essentials from Tweezerman I now feel that I am ready for summer! From brows to nails, Tweezerman has you covered. Let’s talk innovative products that will keep you smooth all throughout summer!
The Smooth Finish Facial Hair Remover is very unique in design. This tool can remove unwanted hairs on your neck, chin, cheek and upper lip. I am personally still figuring out how to use this device and feel because I keep my facial hair really trimmed that it doesn’t help as much, however I tested it to see if it would actually grab hair from my hair and it does work. This kit also comes with a pair of tweezers which are by far my favorite tweezers on the market.
This Precision Folding Brow Razor is probably my newest holy grail product I have added into my brow routine. I find that I am easily take care of stray brow hairs and shape up my brows in general. The other end is a brush where you can easily brush out your brows to make sure you are not over or under trimming your brow hairs.
Ever seen how the buffer blocks in salons make your nails look spectacular? With the Neon hot 4-9n-1 File, Buffer Smooth and Shine Block you are able to get the same effect at home. These are gentle on your nails, while still being very effective at making your nails shine. Along with the salon experience I personally enjoy getting a pedicure, the Alessandro Pedix One Minute Pedicure gives you a pedicure in 60 seconds. This foot scrub is packed with tons of essential oils and natural seas salt, “relieves stressed feet, removes rough skin and intensively nourishes skin.” All you have to do is to apply this scrub to damp feet and gently massage them in a circular motion for 60 seconds. Then to finish up, just rinse with warm water.
Nail Polish is a something I am super critical of, and I have to say the Alessandro Nail polishes are my favorite to date. This nail polish has a unique handle design, rather than being the normal circular handle, this one is square. This does take a little getting use to, but what I find is that the square handle give you more control and an easier application. The formula is simply divine. The swatch is true to the color you see in the bottle and the color is truly opaque. I can’t stand polishes that take layer after lay and leave my nails with streaks. Alessandro nail polish is a “one swipe and done” kind of nail polish. Not only are the colors beautiful, but after a clear top coat I find I am able to get 3+ weeks of wear on my nails even during summer. This is a big deal to me considering I am pretty rough on my nails.
Needing to get your #SUMMEROFSMOOTH on? Then head over to Tweezerman and pick a few products out to make the most out of your summer!
*I was sent these products by Pacifica to review, but all thoughts expressed are 100% my own.
I admit I am pretty unfamiliar with Pacifica products being that I have only tried one eye shadow from the before. However, I’m a self-proclaimed expert when it comes to makeup! I am so excited to share my thoughts on a few products from Pacifica that I was sent to review! All of these products focus on eyes from liner, to shadow, to mascara they have all you need to complete an eye look.
I would say the star of these products is the mascara. For those of you that want super long and separated lashes, this one is for you! This is a more wet formula, but I don’t find it to be messy. I love how long it makes my lashes look and how separated even my bottom lashes look. I don’t see any flaky from this mascara and it is super black. I highly recommend you check out this mascara if you are on the market for a new one!
Waterproof eyeliner is pretty standard these days as far as claims go, however I find most don’t really stand up to these claims when it comes to my waterline. I have super watery eyes so I am always on the market for new liners that have real staying power. I have to of these a brown shade called fringe and a black shade called jet. What I first noticed about these liners is that they are super opaque in color and super creamy. While these do stay on for a long while they do wear off on my watery eyes after about 5 hours. However, I must admit that I am obsessed with the opacity of the colors and the brown shade is simply gorgeous on brown eyes!
Lastly let’s talk about the Power of Love palette! It contains 8 coconut infused shadows. These are honestly the silkiest feeling shadows I have ever felt. I have tried one of these shadows before and was happy to add to my collection. This palette contains satin finish shades. I would not say any are truly matte. These are not the most pigmented shadows that I own but I do find they are buildable. I highly recommend these for those looking for a wash of color or those starting out in makeup. I do love these especially for summer because they are extremely easy to work with.
Overall, I am impressed with this brand and can’t wait to try more from Pacifica! I almost forgot the best part! Pacifica is also 100% cruelty free and vegan! Have you tried any of these products from Pacifica before?
not find this as helpful, but those that have a good bit of makeup may find
this to be rather helpful. I find that I sometimes sadly buy duplicates. Thank goodness
for having a mom that loves makeup, so when this occurs I am able to pass it
along to someone that will love it.
or you are simply looking to save money that you “shop your own collection.”
Yes, I completely understand the temptation of new collections all too well.
However, when you weigh the options as in if you really need a product, look
into your own collection. I find that I am drawn to the similar colors and
there are many eye shadows in my collection that are very similar.
last product, I recommend looking through your own makeup collection to see if
you have anything similar. I find that thinking out purchases in this way helps
me to not hoard makeup… as much.
and found this helpful! Until next time…
When is it time to let a product go? I face this question about once every three months. I find that due to my moderate makeup collection size I need to comb through things and purge ever so often. I am not one to keep a ton of makeup that I am not using.
There are the products that I don’t like, the ones that I use to use but don’t use anymore, and the products that I forgot that I purchased. Being in the beauty industry, I tend to collect makeup, but I will say that most of my collection is high-end products. I find I have given most of my drugstore products away. I just seem to compare them to high-end products that are better quality in my opinion that I tend to let them go easier than I do my high-end products.
I fully believe that if you are not using a product, or have not used it within the past few months then it needs to go. Also due to having sensitive skin, I am not able to use many drugstore foundations due to them causing breakouts. These are products that I tend to giveaway the quickest. I am fortunate to have family members that love taking these products off my hands.
I also find that the main thing that people forget about is the expiration of makeup. Yes, makeup expires! I find the one product that you need to get rid of the quickest is mascara. Anything liquid or cream based tends to go bad quicker, however, powder products are safe to use for years.
I am so excited to announce that the sign up process has begun! I know that I love beauty products and the idea of sharing them with others makes me oh so happy!
Every other month, ladies will be paired up with another woman that they will have a chance to get to know and then get to send each other a gift of beauty products.
