Big Announcement…Bigs & Littles is back!
been blogging for a while you have heard of the Bigs & Littles Blogging
Network. Well I know that I was completely saddened that it ended after my
first pairing. I was paired up with Amy from Not Your Average Amy. I must say
that it was an amazing experience where I learned loads about blogging and I
feel that we were able to help each other through the tough times in blogging. I
do want to note that Amy and I have maintained contact after our partnership
was over, and I have truly gained a friend from this experience.
beginning days of my blog I was frustrated, even sometimes now I just need a
little blogging advice. I just felt that I was at a lost, with no one to help me
understand how blogging worked. This is
something that I feel never changes, yes my blog has grown tremendously in a
year, but with that comes a whole new set of issues that arise.
Well I can tell you that sometimes asking another blogger questions and advice
can be quite frustrating and intimidating. Well if you are looking for a way to
meet someone to share advice and just someone to lean on through your blogging
experience, then this may be the perfect program for you.
learning how to grow your blog, or just some general advice then I suggest that
you take a moment to contemplate this program!
fret any longer, because this is going to be up and running once again!
bloggers to teach, to learn and to grow.
that I am!
need to sign up again to be re-matched with a new partner.
program is that Bigs & Littles can learn from each other, and grow each of
their blogs, as well as become friends. We hope that I can continuously grow
this network and have more and more bigs join to help the littles. We do want to
mention that classifying someone as a “big” or “little” is based on many
things. Please do not worry about if you are the big or little, take this
opportunity to share this experience with each other and make the best of it.
Remember that what you put into something is what you should respect in return.
We truly believe that we can all learn from each other, regardless of your stats.
Everyone brings something unique to the table, such as photographs, html
knowledge, blog design, and all the other things that would be beneficial to
any blogger.

June Cara Box Reveal!!!!
Hello lovelies!
It is once again time to write about my Cara Box experience. I am know a full blown veteran of this program, I have participated 2+ times. I must say that those of you who are not participating in this are really missing out. Each month that I have participated in this, I have met the most wonderful bloggers. Some of them have truly become my friends. I know that I am always so nervous about who I am going to get and what in the world I am going to send. Somehow it seems that sometimes I get paired with bloggers that truly become my blogland friends. I think this is an amazing program where you can meet amazing people and exchange gifts and share encouragements. We all know that sometimes blogging is hard and even depressing occasionally, well the great thing about your match for the month is that they are bloggers and they can give you the encouragement that you need to keep it moving. I know that specifically last month I was matched with someone that has become an amazing friend. We text, email and chat almost daily. She is literally the funniest person I have met. We instantly clicked and connected through this process. I am truly grateful that I chose to signup for the past few months. I have had an amazing experience that I hope to continue in the future. I look forward to next month, which will be nautical themed!
So this month I was paired up with two amazing ladies! Both are married and have gorgeous families! Make sure you check both of them out, trust me you won’t be disappointed! If you are interested in signing up for July..you can do so here!
So to start I want to introduce you to the lovely blogger that I had the pleasure of sending a box to this month. Her name is Amanda and she blogs over at Mama & Co. She is a lovely full time working mama to a little boy, as well as a wife. She lives in Maryland and is just the sweetest girl. After reading her blog I see that she has hit some rough patching as being a single mama, but luck was in her favor and she landed her own price charming. She had the prettiest dress ever and her wedding(from the pics) looks like it was a blast you can look at pictures and read all about her here! For her Cara Box this month I stayed with the Carnivals/Fair theme and when I saw that she had a beauty haul and loved Scentsy I knew exactly what I wanted to send her. I picked beauty products that were great for hot days, jewelry that was summer themed, and a few other things that are all great representation for not only carnivals and fairs, but also summer in general.
&
So next I want to introduce you all to the lovely lady that shares my name..but has a different spelling! Yes, I was paired up this month with the lovely Chelsey! Chelsey blogs over at The Bubblehead Bride. This was a different and really cool experience, I mean I never expected to be matched with someone that shares my name. She is a Navy wife and mother who lives in the great state of Tennessee. After browsing her blog I discovered that she is not only a wife and mom, but she also is a dog wrangle and coordinates her family’s crazy lives.
I personally love reading her blog she displays her cute family on her blog regularly.
I mean isn’t this picture too cute?
Regardless of all the cuteness I have found that she is a funny blogger that is pretty straight forward. She actually sent me a Cara Box this month. Let me start off by saying that she is amazing! I seriously received the cutest Cara Box! She reached out to me to find out all the things I loved about Carnivals and fairs. It is amazing to me how someone can take a few answers and fill a box full of such amazing things. So at this point you probably want to see what she sent me right?!?..well here you go!

It’s the Flipping Truth..like it or not!
Hello Lovelies!
So we are fixing to get real honest here on my blog. I do apologize if I offend anyone, so if you are easily offend exit now. So this post is all about respect for us bloggers. I fully understand that we all have our own opinions are are entitled to them, but then those opinions are used to attack someone..then honey you need to shut it. A few days ago my #BLOGBFF posted about pitbulls and how they also deserve some love. Well some super classy individuals decided to leave really rude comments on her blog.
I mean I just want you all to know that we do read all of your comments, and we will shut it down if you feel the need to write such horrendous things like calling some sweet woman a country dumbass. I think it is important to note that when you write stuff like this we will SHUT IT DOWN! It takes 2.5 to delete this mess and you will soon find yourself blocked. I especially despise those that feel the need to comment anonymously, excuse my french..but grow a pair and leave your name or email address.
If you ever have a problem with something on my blog or any other blogger’s blogs, it would be nice to talk about the problem before you blast us on our blogs. In the end be respectful and remember that somethings are better left unsaid.

How to: Add Pin it Image to Blog!
I am left in utter shock in the aftermath of what has happened in Oklahoma this week. All I can do is extend prayers to all those involved in this horrific event and hope that their families get peace. I have been an emotional wreck this week do to many things going on. Things like this make me stop and realize what things are important in life to me and how I should cherish them.
So for a while now I have noticed Pin it Hover Buttons on a few bloggers’ page. Well I finally broke down and decided to attempt this. Well I will go ahead and say that it seems like anything on my blog is always a pain in the butt. One of my favorite bloggers, Kaitlyn, can attest to this! Well she did a tutorial on how to create a Pin it Hover Button for your blog, and I thought why not try it… let’s give this a go!
Begin by saving this image to your computer. You can simply right click and “save as” to your computer.
Next, go to PicMonkey.com and upload a blank swatch of the background you want to use. I went to a color swatch from my blog design and uploaded and cropped it on PicMonkey.com! It was super easy and simple, and I loved it because it matched my blog completely. You can also do this by checking your template colors and creating your own swatch, such as this one!
Here is the swatch I used to crop my perfect square!
After you upload it, and if needed crop it to the color you want, you need to crop it into a perfect square using the dimensions of 75 x 75. Then select “Frames” and “Rounded Corners”. I had the swatch on hand, but you can easily find your swatch online using the color # from your template design.
Next you need to Slide the “Corner Radius” level all the way to the right & click “Transparent Corners”.
This should give you a perfect solid circle.
After that, Go to “Overlays” & click “Your Own”.
Upload the “P” that you saved from above.
Use the color picker to choose what you would like your “P” to look like. I used a completely white color so that I would have the utmost contrast fro my hover button.
Move and resize your “P” until you are satisfied, and then save the image as a .png on your computer.
Here is what mine looks like:
Once you save it, upload it to the photo sharing website you use. I use Photobucket but you can use whatever photo sharing software you prefer. I just find that Photobucket is super user friendly.
Next (Almost done), go to your Blogger dashboard and click Template which should be along the left hand side of the screen. Then click edit HTML.
Locate the code”
“(it should be near the end of the code, Control + F if you can’t find it). As you can see in the picture below, I typed in
and hit enter to find where to paste the code. If you Control +F to find it, your computer will highlight the
like you see below.
Kaitlyn’s Script looked like this:

<!– please do not alter or remove the following code –>

Pin It button on image hover

Vola! Now you have COMPLETE directions for creating you own Hovering Pin It Button regardless of what template you have installed.

Dishes..Dishes…and More Dishes
Hello Lovelies!
Today I am so excited to share with you this wondering company called Influenster. A few months ago I started seeing all of my favorite bloggers pop up with these things called a “VoxBox.” Well I did not have a clue what in the world they were blogging about. I had never heard of this company, but I decided to check it out. I actually was reading Kati from Incorporating Color’s blog and emailed her to get some details. She explained to me how wonderful this program was and that she was enjoying it.
After learning the details of how you basically write product reviews, I realized that this was right up my alley. I personally love to write product reviews and so the transition into this site was smooth and easy for me. So about a month ago I decided to sign up and man I am glad I did! Within two weeks I got an email stating that I needed to fill out a pre-qualification survey for a box, which turned out to be the Palmolive Soft Touch VoxBox. I must admit that I was quite hesitant about taking this, but after I was assured by another fellow blogger, Rachel, that this would all be worth it..then I jumped right into it.
I must admit that this survey was super easy! I truly did not expect this to be such an easy thing for me to do. Now, if you hate writing product reviews..then you may not enjoy this as much as I do. It seemed like a week later I was accepted into my first VoxBox program. I was super excited, and with the box being a secret..I was dying to find out what I was being sent. A week after that I got an invitation to submit another pre-qualification survey for the Spring Fever VoxBox, in which I anticipate to arrive any day.
Yesterday afternoon I turned down my driveway not thinking anything other than “Thank God I am finally home.” When I saw a green box sticking outside of my mailbox, I immediately began pondering what this could be. I admit that this being my first VoxBox, I did not really know what to expect. I mean I ran the scenarios in my head over a hundred times of if the mail lady would be able to fit it into my mailbox, or if I would be playing “Marco Polo” with my VoxBox. Well when I saw something green, I did not exactly know what to think. Well shortly I made it to my mailbox and saw that the green box was actually my VoxBox! I was ecstatic and ran right to my room to open it. I admit I was like a kid on Christmas, because I was beginning to wonder where in the world my VoxBox was..and to be fair so were Influenster. Just yesterday they sent me an email asking if I had received my VoxBox!
So I must admit that when I opened this box I never expected full size products, let alone 2 of them! I have subscriptions to other companies where I receive “ity bity” samples of the product. Well it is apparent that Influenster wanted me to try these two 25 oz bottle of Palmolive Soft Touch dish detergent out to the fullest, and that is exactly what I did! Living at my house, you tend to do sink full after sink full of dishes that this is something you would be excited about. Well I know that what most impressed me about this product was the concentration of the product It only took a little bit to have the perfect dish water. Within a the time span of an hour, I was able to step back and look at my work. It was quickly apparent to me that my dishes were “squeaky clean” and the water was still soapy enough to continue washing dishes. I just loved the aroma that was in the air from using these products.
So at this point you may be wondering what exactly I received in this VoxBox. Well here you go!

What’s In my bedside drawer & Birth Control..Say What?!?
blog! I tend to stay away from getting into post like this, but I think this is
going to be great for all of us. I am absolutely thrilled to have been given
this opportunity to tell my thoughts on this subject. I think that this post contains important information for all of us. Make sure that you read this entire post, because at the end it contains something very interesting!
year old single lady, so as you can imagine I have looked into and tried many
different methods of birth control. Regardless if you are married or single the
word “birth control” plays throughout your mind at some point. This day in age
there are many different methods and that can provide you with the protection
that you desire. For example, most people don’t think about STD being including
in the veil of protection. For this post I looked at all of the preventative
methods on the bedsier.org website. I must
say that there were things that even surprised me, like the Female Condom. Then again, there were things
that I expected to see like regular condoms and the “pill.”
others need to be taken daily. I know that I tend to be drawn to methods such
as “the pill”, male condoms, and “the shot.” These are just ones that I have
found personally work for me! The serve their purpose completely, but I will
mention that I am such a nut about being careful that I often pair methods together.
This is just my preference, but I highly suggest that you check out http://bedsider.org/methods to find what works
best for you! Additionally I can’t express how important it is for you to set
reminders to take birth control and appointment with your physician, for more
information on how to manage these check out http://bedsider.org/reminders. I must admit that sometimes it is not easy for
me to remember to take birth control, so with advancement in technology I use
reminders from my cell phone to help remind me. However, using the http://bedsider.org/reminders website you can actually set up reminders for all of your appointments and reminders to take your birth control. All it takes is one mistake for
your life to change completely. I will
say that at the end of the day, taking birth control is completely empowering. It
gives me the feeling that I am taking control of my life and making good
decisions about my future. I usually
store my birth control in the bedside drawer of my nightstand.
be wondering what else does this single lady have in her bedside drawer. Well
don’t get too excited it is not anything abnormal, but to me these are my necessities.
Right now, I have one of my favorite books called Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin. This is a book that I have read
several times throughout my life, but I find that the Character Elizabeth
Bennett is someone that I can relate to who I want to be. She is so unrestrained
and she has her own Mr. Darcy, so how could I not admire a woman like this.
There are also other things in my bedside drawer that are very random, such as: Victoria’s Secret Body Butter, 3 EOS Lip Balms, my high school diary, Bible, Photograph album, condoms, batteries(For TV Remote), Mario Badescu Night Cream, Current Cosmopolitan Magazine, Apple IPad, Victoria Secret body Spray, and my sorority badge. These are all kind of random, but I just prefer that I have them located here. I tend to think a lot at night and sometimes read and think in the past, while watching TV and catching up on missed Bible readings. I have discovered that some days require extra extra Bible readings and praying.
Well Hold On…There is a contest to enter! See the rule list below for more information and I wish you all the best of luck!!!
