In the aftermath of all of the jack-o-lanters that were floating around, I noticed that some were decaying too quickly. I am sure that is due to the weather conditions that plagued farmers this year. I was hell bent on having my pumpkin survive this year. I decided to do a little experiment to test what would work. Here are 4 steps to preserving your pumpkin.
1) Carve Pumpkin
2) Mix a bleach solution of 1 tablespoon of bleach 2 cups water & mix it.
3) Take bleach mixture & wipe the inside & lid of the Pumpkin.
4) Take an coat the entire inside and all the cut outs with Vaseline.
That’s it! It completely worked, I found that even after 5 days there was no decay. Now let me explain why this works. It is very simple, the bleach mixture kills all the bacteria that causes decay. The Vaseline seals the moisture in and prevents it from drying out. If you think about it..it truly makes sense. I hope this helps!
I hope everyone had a great weekend! I saw that some were wondering what I received in my Birchbox this month. Well I was somewhat happy with this box. I chose the transformation box, instead of the goop box! I was thrilled when I saw that they had included the Balm highlighter, this is a product that I have been eying for some time now. I also received this perfume sample that is suppose to be flirtatious…. Well I am not sure if it will work, because it smells different for sure lol! I also received a sunblock sample that looks interesting I will eventually post a review on it. My least favorite thing was the protein bar, I usually like protein bars … But I was not impressed I took one bite and chunked it! I will be happy to post the list of products later, I simply left my list this morning! Sorry guys! I am overall loving Birchbox, because it gives me a chance to try loads of products that I am unfamiliar with! I will be doing a review on some of these products soon:)
I recently purchased the Lorac Pro Eye shadow palette, and I thought it would be good to post a picture tutorial. My Camera was on the fritz so these pictures are not as great as I would like them to be. The reason that you only see one eye is that I did a second tutorial on the other eye from the Nude’tude palette. Since all I was doing was tutorials I felt that I should not waste the makeup by doing the same look on both eyes. The lighting is super bright, I wanted to make sure you guys could see the different contrast of colors…. I am not that white trust me! I am going to give you step by step instructions on how to create this look. I thought it was a super cute smoky look! If you would like to see a video version of this please let me know! I will be posting a full review of this palette, including the quality of colors and much more! I hope you have fun creating this look, let me know if you have any questions.
Here are 11 steps to creating this look
1)I primed my eyes with Urban decay Primer Potion in Eden
2) I took my NYX jumbo pencil in Cottage Cheese and ran it all over my eye lid and blended it out.
3) I applied the color Taupe to my lid and blended it out.
4) I next took the shade sable and used it as my crease color, blending it up just below my brow bone.
5) I next took the shade espresso and used it to darken my outer crease, winging it out to make a greater than or “v” shape at the outside of my eye lid.
6) I need added a small amount of the color black to the outside corner of my eye lid to intensify the look.
7) I took the shade slate and swept it across my lid & blending it up to make the look more sultry looking.
8) Used the color white as both a brow highlight & in the corner of my eye to brighten the look.
9) I used Liquid Stiletto Liner in black to line my top lash line, winging it out slightly.
10)Next I used Urban Decay liner in Zero to line my bottom water line.
11)I next used Maybelline lash blast mascara to complete the look.

Hello everyone! Unlike most days, today's post is all about what you can accomplish when you are determined to do something. So I have this awful habit of things breaking when I am using them! It is an absolute pain in the butt! Well I broke my vacuum cleaner broke…probably because I tend to just run over things lol But Hey who doesn't when they are in a hurry. Well yesterday I decided ….why wait for a guy to fix it( i.e. my dad) so I found my tool box and was on a mission. Well guys after two hours of taking apart every little piece, I found the problem. Well I fixed it, this is nothing I honestly thought I could ever do…especially since I am not mechanically inclined…more like mechanically challenge to be honest. Well this is proof ladies! Once you really apply yourself you will be surprised what you can accomplish. So try this philosophy and next time you are waiting for someone else to fix it, just because you don't think you can, try fixing it yourself. I do recommend that you do some research before tackling some more taxing projects. Anyways good luck! Tune in tomorrow for my pick for neutral eyeshadow pallet. These are super popular this season and I have found one for under $10. On a side note please pray for those affected by tornadoes yesterday and keep the rest of the country in mind as these storms move through the rest of the south. Cheers!
Hello everyone! I have a few different things to talk about today, so I decided to break it down. The Voice:
So I hope everyone is having a great week! Last night I became so excited when I realized that the Voice was on tv. I have to say I was skeptical of this show, because I have been an avid american idol fan since season 1. However, even I must say that it was an amazing show tonight. Honestly it was like watching 12 different concert performances back to back. This production if this show is amazing. This show is exciting and well worth watching. So if you haven't checked it out please do. Twitter:
I also want to mention my favorite person on twitter is Ms Superbad, she is an old friend from college! I am glued to twitter on Monday nights to see what she ia tweeting about the cast of basketball wives. My favorite tweets are the ones she posts about fashion. My favorite quote is " why is this girl dressed like she ia headed to the club when she is actually headed to class!" I will share more favorite twitter quotes in the future. New makeup update:
I am also excited about my new nyx lipsticks:) reviews will come soon! Have a great day! Cheers!
Hello everyone! I hope everyone had a great weekend! It may be all that plastic surgery but didn't Reba look amazing at the ACM Awards! Great performances from the ACMs took over my Sunday night! Well back to the present, my topic for today is my favorite liquid eyeliner! Okay I am not a fan of stiletto mascara BUT the stiletto liquid eyeliner is Fabulous! It consistently applies an even color. I have also found the brush makes it easy to apply. For those who know me, I have been asked many many times how I put on my eye makeup, as well as get my eyeliner to look straight and perfect….well I will do a tutorial video soon on how I create my look. So not as a surprise I bought more makeup! My shipment of lipstick will be here tomorrow…in which I am super excited about. I have always been a little afraid of bold lips, but recently I have admit I am a little addicted and fully convinced that colorful lips can pull your whole look together. So I will be reviewing these soon! Please feel free to ask any question or comment! Cheers! Disclaimer: This review is of my honest opinion.
