Happy Thursday! Wow fall has finally made it to the South as we are experiencing colder temperatures! You would think in was -20 from the bundled up people driving around this morning, but it is just that we don’t experience cold weather much here. I have been on the go on the weekends so much that I thought it would be a great idea today to explain what my “quick makeup” routine is for the weekend.
First up is the beloved Studio Careblend Pressed powder from MAC. I have been told by so many fellow MUAs that this powder is great for photography and that it is! I love the way it smooths out your complexion and provides a perfect canvas. On weekends, it is super easy to just throw this on for some light coverage. However, if you are looking for full coverage check out the IT Cosmetics powder foundation. This stuff is no joke.
Next I swipe on some of the Chanel illusion d’ombre (cream shadow) and blend it all over my lids. I love the more neutral shades for this method, because they bling up the eyes without being super difficult to work with. These set and stay like a charm. Perfect for when you need something quick and easy.
Mascara is a hard product to suggest, but this one from Chanel is by far my favorite of any mascara I have ever tried. Yes, it is not cheap by any means but it is so worth the money. Want long dramatic lashes? Then I suggest you check this one out. What I love on-top of the amazing formula is that it is super black and doesn’t flake on me. I find I don’t look alive without mascara one, and having dramatic lashes can really take your look up a notch.
Lastly adding a bit of color to your cheeks will make your face look more alive. I recommend a shade like Warm Soul that not only adds color but warms up the face. The mineralized blush line from MAC is perfect for the more natural days.
Hopefully you find this quick guide helpful for the weekends. I know I plan almost every minute of the weekend and often don’t have time to get it all accomplished. So it is pertinent that I spend the least amount on makeup, while still looking amazing. Hence why I chose these products! What products do you use on the go?
